Throw Back Thursday - North Wales Family Photographer

I always see the three little letters TBT on other people’s instagram accounts, and it took me aaaaaaaages to work out what it meant. If you do follow me on instagram, you’ll know that I don’t post every day (or in fact every week!) and so I’m a bit behind the times on social media trends. Anyway, it turns out the TBT means Throw Back Thursday - but you already knew that. So on this Thursday, I thought I’d share this image with you, taken in the Summer of 2019, which has now won a Bronze Award from the Guild of Photographers (a national organisation) in their ‘Image of the Month’ competition.

Every time I hit the ‘send’ button to deliver a client’s gallery, I doubt myself. Have I done a good enough job? Will they like the photos? Will they be glad they picked me? And all the lovely things my clients say about the photos I deliver do calm the nerves, and recently another photographer complimented my work too (and I was seriously happy about that!) but this award was further confirmation from a panel of experts that I can in fact take photos.

I’ve now won 4 Bronze Awards, and I think that one of the reasons they’re so special to me is that every image I’ve submitted has been from a real photoshoot, with real people, real familes, real clients. The photos I’ve won my awards for have been put in front of the judges with no extra editing than the versions I’ve presented to my clients. I don’t claim to be the cheapest Cardiff photographer, but when you book me, you’re booking a photographer who has won awards for images that were created to capture family’s memories. My main objective is to present you with beautiful images that you will be proud to hang on your walls. It’s a bonus to me that they’re also worthy of winning an award.
